Low smoke cable compounds recognised by UL
Teknor Apex, a global compounding leader, has obtained UL (Underwriters Laboratory) AATJ 2 recognition as low smoke and halogen free flame retardant (LS-HFFR) for seven cable components.
The Halguard® 58000-58300 series offer high performance electrical and physical properties, adapted for demanding applications where low smoke generation is important such as data centres, control cables, energy supply. The 58600 series compounds (see pinfa Newsletter n°62) offer cost-effectiveness, as well as low post-extrusion shrinkage. This certification enables application of these cables in confined public spaces, or transport infrastructure.
