18th AMI Fire Resistance in Plastics (FriP) conference

FriP 2024, organised by AMI and moderated by Chris Smith, brought together some 110 participants, of including FR manufacturers

New flame retardants and applications trend towards PIN flame retardants

Recycling

Michael Grosshauser, Fraunhofer LBF, presented conclusions of the joint pinfa project with ten companies to trial upcycling of post-consumer and post-industrial secondary polymers

Research and Innovation

Jaime Grunlan, Texas A&M University, USA, presented polyelectrolytes as a solution for application of PIN flame retardant solutions to different materials.

Panel discussions : Sustainability is the key regulatory driver

This year?s AMI FriP conference included an interactive panel discussion session and a session with round table discussions
