Crosslinkable LSF0H elastomer for cables
Avient have launched a PIN flame retardant cross-linkable highly processable elastomer for performance cables. The LSF0H (Low Smoke and Fumes Zero Halogen) formulation can be processed with standard single-screw extruders, avoiding the need for a vulcanisation line. Processing achieves IEC EN 50363-0:2015 G17 and G18. It offers mechanical properties including high elongation at break and Hot Set Test 250°C and fire performance to shipbuilding and railways requirements, and applications also include construction, electrical installations and solar energy.
