Non-ATO, non-halogen FR for PET and PBT
CAI Additives launches white PIN FR masterbatches for low-smoke, no-drip UL 94 V-0 performance applications. The PIN flame retardant used is non-SVHC and RoHS compliant and completely replaces ATO (antimony trioxide). The polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) masterbatches offer thermal stability, weather resistance, mechanical performance, and can achieve UL 94 V-0 down to 1.6 mm and Glow Wire Flammability Index 800°C – 825°C. Fire resistance is achieved by generation of a stable, carbonised protective layer in fire.
