PIN FR polyamide for 3D printing

Evonik and Hewlett Packard launch innovative carbon black embedded PA12 powder for laser sintering 3D printing. The non-halogenated flame retardant material embeds carbon black in particle cores so delivering colour uniformity, minimising visibility of surface wear and providing UV resistance and isotropic performance. It is adapted for powder bed fusion 3D-print, such as SLS (selective laser sintering) and HSS (high speed sintering), with high flowability, homogenous sintering, high surface resolution and 50% reuse in printing. Evonik’s PA12 offers high performance characteristics including low water uptake, solvent resistance, low creep, high impact strength and extreme temperature capability. Applications include automotive and aerospace.
