PIN FR polymers for EV applications

RadiciGroup (pinfa member) offers high-performance PIN flame-retardant plastics for demanding applications including metal replacement, in automotive, e-mobility and electrical and electronics applications. High end engineering polymers enable lightweighting and design flexibility, in which RadiciGroup’s PIN flame retardant packages ensure non-halogenated fire safety. These products can include recycled polymer and for that reason, are particularly attractive in view of the upcoming introduction of the new European regulation on End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs). RadiciGroup’s glass-fibre reinforced PIN FR polyamides (PA6, PA66) for injection moulding can achieve UL 94 V-0 (down to 0.4 mm) and GWI 960°C with mechanical resistance and high electrical insulation.
