pinfa at FRPM 2025

pinfa was active at the 20th FRPM conference, presenting on SSbD FRs and giving best young researcher Awards. FRPM (Fire Retardant Polymeric Materials), took place in Madrid 3-6 June 2025, with nearly 300 participants. Adrian Beard, Clariant, Chairman of pinfa, presented application of “Safe and Sustainable by Design” (SSBD) to flame retardants and pinfa and pinfa members’ work on bringing these principles into application, including a detailed case study of the PIN FR aluminium diethylphosphinate (a.k.a. AlPi or Depal). The pinfa Awards for best young researcher presentation went to Arvindh Sekar (EMPA, Switzerland), Yi Wang (Sichuan University, China) and Arnab Ghosh (IMDEA, Spain) (photos).
