Simplification of environmental regulation
Public consultation on outline plans to simplify environmental reporting and other environmental regulatory requirements. Open to 7th May. The measures are titled “Simplifying for sustainable competitiveness” and are outlined in a Commission Communication (10 pages) with further detail in an accompanying Staff Working Document (30 pages), both open for public comment. The Commission’s proposals include a non-specific reference to possible future “targeted revision” of the EU chemicals regulation REACH
