Tosaf PIN flame retardant for polypropylene
Non-halogenated FR for injection-moulded and extruded PP achieves fire safety and retains materials performance. The PIN FR can achieve UL 94 V-2 in polypropylene with 3% loading depending on thickness, MFI (melt flow index) and other additives. It has good dispersion and low LDR (let down ratio) which contribute to materials mechanical performance (impact strength and dimensional stability) and low die build up. The PIN FR also offers low migration, low smoke emissions in fire, and maintains polypropylene chemical and UV resistance. Tosaf offers a range of non-halogenated flame retardants and synergists. For polypropylene, this range covers injection-moulding and extrusion, including rigid pipes, corrugated flexible pipes, automotive under-the-hood, optic fibre cables.
